in Torre del Colle

San Lorenzo in Piazzetta is an apartment (124.5 ft + 59 ft courtyard, providing a hidden double bed with an on-request extra bed) that does not leave out the smallest detail, carrying all comforts and full romantic atmosphere. This house is in an Umbrian ancient medieval fief called “Torre del Colle” (Castrum Turris Collis), situated in a silent and peaceful environment in a magical and charming atmosphere of ancient times, accurately renovated in May 2012, keeping faith to the most original and typical architectural tradition with stoned walls integrated by the warmth of the wood, expressing a sheer plunge back into the Middle-Ages atmosphere.

The entrance overlooks the Castle square with a breathtaking view ,embracing the green Umbrian hills rich with thick olive trees, vineyards, sunflowers, poplars, oaks and sowing land on one side, while on the other side is the ancient Chiesa di San Lorenzo, named after a Spanish-origin saint, probably dating back to the 14th Century. Parking space is available outside the Castle, 32 yards away from the house.

The area inside the Castle is entirely pedestrian, and the walk leads to catching sudden glimpses of unprecedented scenarios. The apartment is tucked away from the frenetic rhythms of everyday life, leaving room to a quiet , unique, reality which makes it ideal for a fine holiday both for couples and families.

Torre del Colle is situated 250 meters above sea level, built around the Year 1000 it has maintained in full all its Medieval taste and aspect. Nearby studies reported to light traces of an ancient roman temple dedicated to Latona, mother of Apollo and Diana, also worshiped in Bevagna, a surrounding locality.
Torre del Colle, a medieval, exquisite, original architectonic jewel, had been contended for long time by the towns of Bevagna, Todi e Perugia, and by the Trinci and the Vatican State.
